Un-Visual: A Diary of – the ‘Nobodies’.
All captured on the same gorgeous, warm Saturday afternoon and, I have to wonder – (how quickly) will we find our way back, and, can there be true context without – people?
Indeed; I wonder how this will all play out.

Awesome atmosphere! I especially liked the picture of the alley, shadows are amazing.

Oddly, the shadows are the reason I took that one. It’s odd isn’t it, seeing places so empty where usually people are thronging together making the most of good weather. All a bit eerie, really. But… peaceful and very lovely, nonetheless! Thank you so much, Alena! 🙏

I love the contrasts. Light and shadows. And whatever plant is growing over Rosefield Mills – love that. Time marches on

Thank you so much, Harold. It’s actually ivy. Years of it by the look of it. Really adds to the whole place, I think! I love this old building.

Again, outstanding IR images, beautifully processed. I may have mentioned in the past that I was interested in getting my Nikon D80 modified for IR but the more I read about it, the less likely it seems. The camera has no Live View and the one lens I have for it has no IR marking for focus. Too bad. Life Pixel has a sale till the end of the month for conversions, if anyone is interested.

Really glad that you like them. Thank you ever so much for your kind words. For sure, live view would be very helpful. I can’t remember if my old D70 had LV or not but if it did, I never used it. And the D lenses were mostly superb in AF after the conversion was made. Your D80 would make a fine conversion, I’m thinking. Kolarivision have a list of good and poor lenses for IR work, if you check the link on my Links page. Plenty of good lenses to be considered, for sure. 🙏

Goff, thank you so much for your kind thoughts and words. It does beg the question though, doesn’t it? All we can all do is to keep doing what we can do, in the best way we know how. Have a great Sunday, Goff. Great to hear from you again. Very best, Rob.
